Week 3 Fantasy Matchups

Welcome to Art Vandelay's Prediction Lounge (1st edition)

#8 More Seinfeld III(1-1) vs. #9 2legit2quit(1-1)

Now, I know most of you are thinking this will be a close matchup due to the standings, but there is more than meets the eye. In fact, Seinfeld has never beaten the man who refuses to quit, but the big story here is the average margin of victory in both bouts(47pts). I think Cincy does it to Seinfeld again, and with 2 players playing Chicage, 2legit2quit wins this matchup and should win big as Jerry trys for his 40th career win.

Art's Prediction: 2legit2quit (in a blowout)

#3 Hello Newman III(2-0) vs. #16 SAMS CLUB(0-2)

After his biggest loss of the season last year to Sam, Newman is looking to rat out Sam's Club like a sub-audibled fart in a crowd. These two foes take their job too seriously to lose to each other. I figure with 70% of the Chargers offense and a touchdown or two by Hasselbeck against a disoreinted Bengals D, Newman's chances of delivering a win are synonymous with the mail.

Art's Prediction: Hello Newman III

#13 War Eagle!!!(1-1) vs. #10 Who Dat Mexican(1-1)

The Mexican has only won once in four tries against the Tiger, and looks to pull off a victory after coming up short last week. The Eagle of War looks to win his fourth straight over that dirty mexican. Look for this one to be close folks as each team needs that 2nd key stud to emerge from their squads.

Art's Prediction: Who Dat Mexican

#6 Costanzas United(1-1) vs. #5 Falcons 4 Life(2-0)

In this intriguing matchup the Costanzas actually have outscored the Falcons on the season, yet their records do not reflect. The Falcons have started off great, but have barely squeaked by with late monday night heroics to seize the win. Look for the Costanzas to continue to put up big numbers and torture the Falcons as Jake Delhomme again hooks up with Steve "The Stud" Smith to make him look as if he actually were a Pro-Bowler.

Art's Prediction: Costanzas United

#7 Art Vandelay(1-1) vs. #11Jersey Juggernauts(1-1)

Both of these teams are looking to avenge close losses last week, and now they are out for blood ripping each other on the smack line. The Juggs from Jersey are looking to put their stamp in the league news by going to 2-1, but as my old pal R.J. says, "NOT BLOODY LIKELY!!!".

Matt's unbiased Prediction: Toss up!!!

#14 Reservoir Dawgs(0-2) vs. #17 Da Rebels(0-2)

Well, we do know this, one team is going to have to come out on top and get their first W. The Rebels are looking to even the score with the dawgs after last year's 20pt loss. Look for the Muffin to be on the rags again this year as the Dawgs squeak by with a missed field goal monday night by Mare.

Art's Prediction: Reservoir Dawgs
#18 USM Golden Eagles(0-2) vs. #2 Hoover Bucs(2-0)

Believe it or not the Golden Eagles own the Hoover Bucs. The Eagles are 3-1 against the Bucs with an average margin or vicotory of 20pts!!! Her 2006 vicotory over Hoover would eventually their only one of the year, but the eagles have gotten it done. As excited as I got when I discovered these facts, the fact is I didn't rank the Hoover Bucs in the pre-season poll #1 for the hell of things. They are going to dominate and destroy the Eagles this week as payback for the humiliation of years past.

Art's Prediction: Hoover Bucs

#12 Drew(0-2) vs. #15 Blue Thunder(0-2)

Drew's Team has beaten Ol' Blue in alll three meetings by an average of 43.5pts so he'll be going for win number four with confidence. The Thunder's team looks pretty good, on paper. Brees has yet to show up this year and if Ol' Blue wants his first victory against Drew, history shows he'll have to break the 100pt mark at least to have a fighting chance. This one's going to be close.

Art's Prediction: Blue Thunder

***************GAME OF THE WEEK**************

#4 Joel(2-0) vs. #1 Vick's Dog(2-0)

This is the only matchup this week with two undefeated teams. Both Joel and Vick have gotten to 2-0 so far by beating teams that have yet to win, but Vick has done this in the most immpressive way by averaging 160pts!! Vick also owns a 2-1 record against the Russian Uncle, so look for Joel to give it his al--wait, look for Joel to give about half an effort max to try and even the score. Everything will be decided on Sunday, as they have no one playing monday night. Whoever is to get ahead early will be the victor. I think that 140pts is a lock for Dog Wonder.

Art's Prediction: Vick's Dog
