Week 4 Match Ups for 2007

#8 War Eagle (2-1) vs. #5 More Seinfeld III (2-1)
Outstanding stat: War Eagle is 0-3 vs. Seinfeld
Record vs. opponent: 0-3.
War Eagle is out on the prowl this year to steal a victory from Seinfeld after his Auburn Tigers fell victim to the MSU Bulldogs. Seinfeld has been lucky so far as this is the only team in the league that he has a perfect record against. Look for this to be a tight one as the Auburn tigers take the victory.
Yahoo Pick: Chris;
League Pick: Chris; Chris' Pick: War Eagle
Jason Arrington "War Eagle"
& former league Champion
"More Seinfeld" Chris Gray

#13 2legit2quit (1-2) vs. #3 Hello Newman III (3-0)
Outstanding stat: ‘06 Regular Season Champ (2Legit) vs. ‘06 League Champ (Newman)
Record vs. opponent: 2-2
This match is as even as you can get with a 2-2 record as two of the 2006 titans face off again but MC Hammer has fallen from grace in 2007. Look for Newman to take the edge in this series and improve to 4-0.
Yahoo Pick: Newman
League Pick: Newman
Chris’ Pick: Newman

"Hello...Newman" Michael Dukes
Armando Acosta "2Legit2Quit" Current League Champion

#15 Blue Thunder (0-3) vs. #16 SAMS CLUB (0-3)
Outstanding stat: The winner has always scored 140+ points in their win over each other.
Record vs. opponent: 1-1
Sam’s Club has gone from ending the 2006 season in 3rd place to 0-3 but there is one good thing about this match up this weekend…someone will come away with their 1st win!
Yahoo Pick: Wally’s World
League Pick: Wally’s World
Chris’ Pick: Wally’s World

Jermaine Brown "Blue Thunder"

#14 Who Dat Mexican (1-2) vs. #10 Art Vandelay (1-2)
Outstanding stat: The Mexican won both games in 2006
Record vs. opponent: 2-1
The Mexican won both of their games when these 2 teams faced off last year but 2007 could be a different story. This game will obviously come down to who’s QB plays better and Vandelay’s QB better be throwing all his TD’s passes to my guy TO!

"Art Vandelay" Todd Barrett

Yahoo Pick: Vandelay " ; League Pick: Vandelay ; Chris’ Pick: Vandelay

Brandon White aka Santa Anna aka "Who Dat Mexican"

#6 Jersey Juggernauts (2-1) vs. #11 Costanza’s United (1-2)
Outstanding stat: 1st time match up
Record vs. opponent: 0-0
In his 1st season the Jersey Juggernauts have established themselves as a team to be reckoned with but they have no idea that they are playing against the conniving one. The Costanza’s refuse to lose to anyone and will wiggle their way out of a mess at any time but this mess may be too much. Look for Bon Jovi and company to win easily.
Yahoo Pick: Jersey
League Pick: Jersey
Chris’ Pick: Jersey

Steve Green "Jersey Juggernauts"
RJ Morgan "Costanza's United"

***Game of the Week #1***
#4 Falcons 4 Life (3-0) vs. #12 Reservoir Dawgs (1-2)
Outstanding stat: 1st time match up
Record vs. opponent: 0-0
You might ask yourself why am I picking this as a game of the week but I’ll tell you why. The Dawgs are looking to take a ‘BITE’ out of Vick this week as they seek revenge against the one who has caused them so much pain. Yahoo has this game picked as an upset and so do I. Dawgs win against the Marijuana Dog Chocker!
Chris Barnett "Falcons 4 Life"
Ben Little "Reservoir Dawgs"
Yahoo Pick: Not the Falcons
League Pick: Not the Falcons
Chris’ Pick: Not the Falcons

#17 Da Rebels (0-3) vs. #18 USM Golden Eagles (0-3)
Outstanding stat: For the 2nd straight year, USM Eagles has lost Deuce to injury
Record vs. opponent: 3-0 in favor of Rebels
Well one this is for certain this week as I said in an earlier match up, someone will walk away with their 1st win of the season. Look for these teams to possibly pick up some much needed acquisitions to ensure that they get their 1st win of the year.
Yahoo Pick: Rebs, League Pick: Rebs, Chris’ Pick: Rebs

Tracie Ray "USM Eagles"
Jason Crider "Da Rebels"

#2 Hoover Bucs (3-0) vs. #9 Joel (2-1)
Outstanding stat: The Bucs are winning against Joel by an average of 30+ points.
Record vs. opponent: 2-0
These two teams have previously faced off in Week 13 during their previous two match ups whereas the Bucs have come out victorious but this is Week 4 which is a even number which could give Joel all the extra superstition that he needs to finally get his 1st victory against the Bucs. Look for Joel to sneak one out of here this week.
Yahoo Pick: Bucs, League Pick: Bucs, Chris’ Pick: ?
Brad Hall "Hoover Bucs" 2x League Champ
Joel Gray "The Russian Uncle"

***Game of the Week #2***
#1 Vick's Dog (3-0) vs. #7 Drew (2-1)
Outstanding stat: Vicks Dog has gone from not making the playoffs in ‘06 to #1 this year!
Record vs. opponent: 1-1
This game looks like a blowout on paper but there could be something else in the mix that we are not seeing. Drew has Brady; Vick has Moss and if Brady doesn’t throw to Moss then this could be the Ultimate upset of week 4 but I wouldn’t bank on it since Moss is Brady’s favorite WR. Look for Vick to win hands down.

Yahoo Pick: Vick, League Pick: Vick, Chris’ Pick: Vick

Roger Coomer "Vick's Dog"
Drew Wilson "Drew's Team"

Week 3 Fantasy Matchups

Welcome to Art Vandelay's Prediction Lounge (1st edition)

#8 More Seinfeld III(1-1) vs. #9 2legit2quit(1-1)

Now, I know most of you are thinking this will be a close matchup due to the standings, but there is more than meets the eye. In fact, Seinfeld has never beaten the man who refuses to quit, but the big story here is the average margin of victory in both bouts(47pts). I think Cincy does it to Seinfeld again, and with 2 players playing Chicage, 2legit2quit wins this matchup and should win big as Jerry trys for his 40th career win.

Art's Prediction: 2legit2quit (in a blowout)

#3 Hello Newman III(2-0) vs. #16 SAMS CLUB(0-2)

After his biggest loss of the season last year to Sam, Newman is looking to rat out Sam's Club like a sub-audibled fart in a crowd. These two foes take their job too seriously to lose to each other. I figure with 70% of the Chargers offense and a touchdown or two by Hasselbeck against a disoreinted Bengals D, Newman's chances of delivering a win are synonymous with the mail.

Art's Prediction: Hello Newman III

#13 War Eagle!!!(1-1) vs. #10 Who Dat Mexican(1-1)

The Mexican has only won once in four tries against the Tiger, and looks to pull off a victory after coming up short last week. The Eagle of War looks to win his fourth straight over that dirty mexican. Look for this one to be close folks as each team needs that 2nd key stud to emerge from their squads.

Art's Prediction: Who Dat Mexican

#6 Costanzas United(1-1) vs. #5 Falcons 4 Life(2-0)

In this intriguing matchup the Costanzas actually have outscored the Falcons on the season, yet their records do not reflect. The Falcons have started off great, but have barely squeaked by with late monday night heroics to seize the win. Look for the Costanzas to continue to put up big numbers and torture the Falcons as Jake Delhomme again hooks up with Steve "The Stud" Smith to make him look as if he actually were a Pro-Bowler.

Art's Prediction: Costanzas United

#7 Art Vandelay(1-1) vs. #11Jersey Juggernauts(1-1)

Both of these teams are looking to avenge close losses last week, and now they are out for blood ripping each other on the smack line. The Juggs from Jersey are looking to put their stamp in the league news by going to 2-1, but as my old pal R.J. says, "NOT BLOODY LIKELY!!!".

Matt's unbiased Prediction: Toss up!!!
(Art's Co-Designer)

#14 Reservoir Dawgs(0-2) vs. #17 Da Rebels(0-2)

Well, we do know this, one team is going to have to come out on top and get their first W. The Rebels are looking to even the score with the dawgs after last year's 20pt loss. Look for the Muffin to be on the rags again this year as the Dawgs squeak by with a missed field goal monday night by Mare.

Art's Prediction: Reservoir Dawgs
#18 USM Golden Eagles(0-2) vs. #2 Hoover Bucs(2-0)

Believe it or not the Golden Eagles own the Hoover Bucs. The Eagles are 3-1 against the Bucs with an average margin or vicotory of 20pts!!! Her 2006 vicotory over Hoover would eventually their only one of the year, but the eagles have gotten it done. As excited as I got when I discovered these facts, the fact is I didn't rank the Hoover Bucs in the pre-season poll #1 for the hell of things. They are going to dominate and destroy the Eagles this week as payback for the humiliation of years past.

Art's Prediction: Hoover Bucs

#12 Drew(0-2) vs. #15 Blue Thunder(0-2)

Drew's Team has beaten Ol' Blue in alll three meetings by an average of 43.5pts so he'll be going for win number four with confidence. The Thunder's team looks pretty good, on paper. Brees has yet to show up this year and if Ol' Blue wants his first victory against Drew, history shows he'll have to break the 100pt mark at least to have a fighting chance. This one's going to be close.

Art's Prediction: Blue Thunder

***************GAME OF THE WEEK**************

#4 Joel(2-0) vs. #1 Vick's Dog(2-0)

This is the only matchup this week with two undefeated teams. Both Joel and Vick have gotten to 2-0 so far by beating teams that have yet to win, but Vick has done this in the most immpressive way by averaging 160pts!! Vick also owns a 2-1 record against the Russian Uncle, so look for Joel to give it his al--wait, look for Joel to give about half an effort max to try and even the score. Everything will be decided on Sunday, as they have no one playing monday night. Whoever is to get ahead early will be the victor. I think that 140pts is a lock for Dog Wonder.

Art's Prediction: Vick's Dog

Week 2 Fantasy Match Ups

Week 2 Fantasy Match Ups

#14 Blue Thunder (0-1) vs. #2 Hello Newman III (1-0)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 0-2 vs. 2-0
It’ll take more than Thunder and Lightning to get past Newman in this one. Newman won the league last year and looks to keep on winning this year. The only thing that could save Blue Thunder would be if he could make it hail on Newman!
Yahoo Pick: Newman
League Pick: Newman
Chris’ Pick: Newman

#7 Who Dat Mexican (1-0) vs. #12 2legit2quit (0-1)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 0-2 vs. 2-0
The ole Dirty Mexican’s look to take on the Conquistador’s of Puerto Rico and the ODM’s also look to get their 1st ever victory over MC Hammer! Look for the Puerto Rican to fall to a fast 0-2!
Yahoo Pick: TexMex
League Pick: TexMex
Chris’ Pick: TexMex

#5 Jersey Juggernauts (1-0) vs. #16 War Eagle!!! (0-1)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 0-0 vs. 0-0
This is a 1st time match up between these managers but War Eagle is a former league champion and he’ll look to bring the Juggernaut down a notch to a 1-1 record as he’s made some recent moves! Jersey looks to improve his beginners luck to a solid 2-0 record!
Yahoo Pick: Jersey
League Pick: Jersey
Chris’ Pick: Jersey

#9 Falcons 4 Life (1-0) vs. #4 Art Vandelay (1-0)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 0-0 vs. 0-0
This one will be a dandy as Art Vandelay looks to construct a win against Michael Vick but it should be easy to do since Vick is going to the dog pound (no pun intended!). Look for this 1st time match up to be spectular display of “art” surrounded by the sounds of “dogs” drowning in the background as the Falcons fall to 1-1!
Yahoo Pick: Art
League Pick: Art
Chris’ Pick: Art

#15 Da’ Rebels (0-1) vs. #11 Costanza’s United (0-1)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 1-2 vs. 2-1
I’m not liking this game in the least bit. This game could easily go either way but history tells us that the Costanza’s have had the better of the Rebels. Look for at least one of these teams to get a victory and my bet is on the Costanza’s!
Yahoo Pick: Costanza’s
League Pick: Rebels
Chris’ Pick: Costanza’s

#3 Hoover Bucs (1-0) vs. #13 Reservoir Dawgs (0-1)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 1-0 vs. 0-1
This match up doesn’t seem fair when you look at it on paper so I guess that’s why you have to play the game on the field! Look for Sunday’s match up to be zero to zero at the start of the game but that the team with the most points on Tuesday morning wins!
Yahoo Pick: Bucs
League Pick: Bucs
Chris’ Pick: Bucs

#1 Vick's Dog (1-0) vs. #18 USM Golden Eagles (0-1)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 3-0 vs. 0-3
I’d like to say that this one would be close but with the Eagles going 0 and 3 in their match ups thus far, well I don’t expect there to be much of a change in the record. However, If this were a beauty contest…well Ms. Tracie Ray would be getting everybody’s vote over the scum of the earth, Vick, but this isn’t a beauty contest so look for Vick to win unless the “commish” suspends Vick indefinitely!
Yahoo Pick: Vick
League Pick: Vick
Chris’ Pick: Vick

#6 Drew (1-0) vs. #8 Joel (1-0) ***Game of the Week***
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 2-0 vs. 0-2
You can throw out the record book when these two foes face off because when they fight it gets personal. Forget that Joel has never beaten Drew in fantasy least we forget that Drew hasn’t beaten Joel in well…I’m not sure but there’s got to be something out there. These 2 knuckleheads are roommates and work together at Applebee’s, so whoever wins gets bragging rights for the next 365 days!
Yahoo Pick: Joel
League Pick: Joel
Chris’ Pick: Joel

#17 SAMS CLUB (0-1) vs. #10 More Seinfeld III (0-1)
Lifetime Record vs. Opponent: 1-1 vs. 1-1
Former co-workers square off in a battle of ROCCS vs. CROCS. Each team desperately needs a victory to not have to climb out of that 0-2 cellar. Look for Sam’s Club to undercut the local supermarkets as Jerry writes another bad check and has to fight his chicken to get his name taken off the wall of shame!
Yahoo Pick: Jerry
League Pick: Jerry

Week 1 of 2007 Fantasy Football Match Ups

Da Rebels (0-0) vs. Art Vandelay (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= UofM (1-0) vs. Architect (0-1)
Two top 8 teams from last year square off in a two-step swing dance that’s could even bewilder the Dancing with the Stars producers as the Architect looks to dance his way around those dang Rebels! Look for the Exporter/Importer to ship those Rebels off with a loss to start the season!
Seinfeld Pick: The Exporter/Importer
League Pick: The Exporter/Importer
Yahoo Pick: The Exporter/Importer

Jason "Rebels" Crider
Todd "Art Vandelay" Barrett

More Seinfeld (0-0) vs. Hello…Newman (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= Jerry (2-4) vs. Newman (4-2)
It’s a new year in fantasy football but the story remains the same as Newman looks to crush his arch rival, More Seinfeld. The record book says it all in this match up, plus Newman is living the good life as he is coming fresh off the #1 draft pick this year as he took LT by winning the 2006 Steel Cleat Trophy last year. Look for Newman to continue his winning ways.
Seinfeld Pick: Newman
League Pick: Newman
Yahoo Pick: Newman
Chris "More Seinfeld" Gray
Michael "Hello...Newman" Dukes

Who Dat Mexican (0-0) vs. Sam’s Club (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= Illegal (0-2) vs. Wholesale (2-0)
Based on the previous 2 games between these teams, I’d say that Sam’s Club has already won this game before it even starts and things won’t change this year either as the Mexican’s look to start a “street pharmacist” instead of players who play by the rules! Look for “the Club” to start 1-0!
Seinfeld Pick: Sam
League Pick: Sam
Yahoo Pick: Sam

Who Dat...Brandon White?
Sam Rose's Club

Jersey Juggernauts (0-0) vs. 2Legit2Quit (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= Bon Jovi (0-0) vs. Puerto Rico (0-0)
Bon Jovi, a newbie this year, has taken a break from touring the country to join our fantasy league this year. The Juggernauts look to surprise some teams this year starting with Mr. Hammer; however, “Can’t Touch This” has yet to show Jon Bon how he rolls on his 20” dubs as he looks to cruise to an easy victory!
Seinfeld Pick: 2L2Q; League Pick: 2L2Q; Yahoo Pick: Bon Jovi

Jersey Steve
Green
Armando "2L2Q" Acosta

Falcons 4 Life (0-0) vs. War Eagle (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= Pit Bull (0-0) vs. Auburn (0-0)
The Falcon’s are another new team this year and he’ll face off against a former Steel Cleat Champion in War Eagle. What’s interesting about this game is that one of these teams is a Michael Vick “LOVER!” while the other is a “LOVER” of dogs! I could crack on this game all day long because the Falcons are sweating this match up like Michael Vick at a PETA convention!
Seinfeld Pick: Vick; League Pick: Vick; Yahoo Pick: Vick

Chris "Vick's Innocent" Barnett

Jason "War Eagle" Arrington

Hoover Bucs (0-0) vs. Costanza’s United (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= MTV (0-3) vs. George (3-0)
The baseball player vs. the Sports Writer who thinks BALCO did no wrong but the BUCS have tested positive for having the best QB in the league this year. The Bucs have never faired well against the Costanza’s but with Peyton at the helm this year, look for the MTV Bucs to finally get their first win against the “Summer of George!”
Seinfeld Pick: Bucs
League Pick: Bucs
Yahoo Pick: Bucs

Brad "Hoover Buc's" Hall
RJ "Costanza" Morgan

Vick’s Dog (0-0) vs. Reservoir Dawgs (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= (1-0) vs. MSU (0-1)
The Virginian takes on the Mississippian in a dog fighting match up that even Michael Vick is betting on. Whoever loses this game is subject to being Vick’s next guard dog so beware, Reservoir!
Seinfeld Pick: Vicktimized
League Pick: Vicktimized
Yahoo Pick: Vicktimized
Roger "Vick's Dog" Coomer

Ben "Reservoir Dawg's" Little

Drew’s Team (0-0) vs. USM Golden Eagles (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= Chef (3-0) vs. Hottie (0-3)
With Tracie Ray’s coaching and a growing list of capable players, the USM Golden Eagles are in the middle of an Extreme Makeover as Drew’s Team will continue to build on team’s success from ending the 2006 season at #6th! Look for Drew’s Team to improve to a 4-0 record vs. the Eagles!
Seinfeld Pick: Drew
League Pick: Drew
Yahoo Pick: Drew

Drew Wilson's Team
Tracie "Golden Eagle" Ray

Blue Thunder (0-0) vs. Joel’s Team (0-0)
Record vs. Opp= Lightning (2-2) vs. Applebee’s (2-2)
This game would make a great Fear Factor stunt: The person who can stomach these wretched offenses without leaving the room wins $2 bucks for some Pepto-Bismal to stomach a season filled with losses.

2007 Fantasy Draft Order

As we have done the previous 3 seasons, the draft order will be based upon how you finished in the previous season; however, Yahoo deleted the scores for Weeks 16 & 17 before I was able to record them in my spreadsheet last year.

Nonetheless, I did record all the scores for Week 15 during the 2006 season, so the fairest thing that I feel that I can do is to rank the remaining 8 teams from last year based first on their win/loss record from 2006. As for any teams that may have the same win/loss record, they will be ranked based upon their point total for the entire season plus their points that they scored in Week 15.

We do have a couple of new teams that are joining us for the first time this year and I have decided that the fairest thing to do is to have them draft as they signed up for the league.

The 2007 Kiss The Rings Fantasy Draft Order will be as follows:

1. Hello Newman II
2. Hoover Bucs
3. Sam’s Club
4. 2Legit2Quit
5. Art Vandaley
6. Drew’s Team
7. Uncle Leo
8. Da Rebels
9. Wonder Bread 9-6 1645.87
10. Costanzas United 7-8 1344.64
11. War Eagle!! 6-9 1387.83
12. Blue Thunder 6-9 1360.46
13. Who's Next 4-11 1493.7
14. Reservoir Dawgs 4-11 1392.66
15. Dirty Mexicans 4-11 1388.1
16. USM Golden Eagles 1-13 1287.15
17. Falcon’s 4 Life
18. Jersey Juggernauts
